What Are The Common Faults Of The Fuel Dispenser?

Jan 30, 2022

The error of the fuel dispenser exceeds ±0.30%, and the reasons for not being able to adjust are as follows:

1. The flowmeter connecting block is worn. When the bore diameter of the connecting block increases, the stroke of the piston increases, the discharge volume increases, and the amount of oil paid will also increase.

Solution for the fuel dispenser equipment: replace the connecting block or adjust it with the adjusting mechanism. If the hole is not worn much, the original adjustment screw can be lengthened appropriately to increase the adjustment by 0.30%.

2. The piston cylinder liner of the oil dispenser equipment is worn. The gap between the large copper sleeve and the large piston is worn out, and the oil in the high-pressure area does not pass through the flow meter for oil discharge measurement, and leaks from the gap, resulting in measurement error.

Tanker Equipment Solution: Return to factory for repair or replacement. If the error value exceeds the allowable error of ±0.3%, the wearing parts should be replaced.

3. The internal O-ring is damaged. After working for a long time, the O-ring is easy to wear and fail, causing internal leakage and making the indication error out of tolerance.

Solution for tanker equipment: replace the O-ring.

4. The adjustment rod of the fuel dispenser equipment is stuck or worn. That is, there is a foreign body that jams the flow sensor or the adjustment rod is seriously worn, which makes the leakage in the flow measurement converter too large, and even the adjustment value and the leakage amount are very different. For example, broken springs, vanes, screws, gaskets, and other foreign objects on the high-pressure spool in the separator. It is squeezed between the piston and the copper sleeve, or on the top of the piston, so that the piston cannot move and the sensor cannot drain oil.

Solution for the tanker equipment: remove the piston, take out the foreign body, and repair the stuck part; replace the seriously worn adjusting rod.
