Fuel dispenser maintenance instructions

Jan 10, 2024

1. Wipe to ensure cleanliness. All internal and external parts of the fuel dispenser should be wiped daily to ensure they are clean and free of oil stains. Especially the oil gun, hose, internal oil, gauge and connecting pipeline. The purpose of wiping clean is not only to look beautiful, but more importantly, to detect oil leakage in time when it occurs.

2. Check the display screen and keyboard. The numbers displayed on the display screen should be clear, the backlight should glow normally, and the keyboard keys should be sensitive. If the display screen fails, it is very easy for customers to have objections to the oil being filled, leading to complaints. If the keyboard malfunctions, it may easily lead to incorrect oil quantity setting, which may lead to disputes and lawsuits.

3. Check the oil sight glass. The oil sight glass should be filled with oil and should not leak. If bubbles are found in the oil sight glass, it means there is a leak in a certain link of the oil tanker pipeline. If you refuel in this situation, the metering of the oil tanker will be inaccurate, which will lead to customer complaints or even loss. Therefore, if bubbles are found in the oil sight glass, the Fuel dispenser should be stopped immediately and the maintenance personnel should be notified to arrange for maintenance of the fuel dispenser.

4. Check the motor belt. When inspecting the belt, you mainly check whether the tightness is appropriate and whether the appearance is damaged. If the belt is too loose, oil will come out slowly or no oil will come out; if it is too tight, the fuel dispenser will vibrate and the noise will increase. If the appearance is damaged, it will easily lead to sudden breakage, which will cause the tanker to be unable to work and affect the normal operation of the gas station.

5. Clean the filter. Cleaning of the filter does not have to be done every day, and the frequency of cleaning should vary from station to station. Generally speaking, new stations or new pipelines should be cleaned weekly, and gas stations that have been in operation for more than three months should be cleaned monthly.

6. Fuel dispenser self-test. Every month, the station manager should use the 20L standard measuring cylinder issued by the company to conduct self-tests on the oil output of the tanker to ensure that the measurement error is within ±0.3%.
